Development Engineering Co-op (Spring)

Summary:

Responsible for assisting Engineers and Technicians in the Development Engineering group to conduct research and qualificaton testing of aerospace or industrial hydraulic and electronic controls products of both existing and new designs. The co-op will work on both mentored and individual assignments in a group setting.

Responsibilities:

·          Design test fixtures and test configurations, work with Manufacturing and R&D Technicians to assure implementation is correct

·          Analyze and model product designs to ensure performance and durability criteria are achieved.

·          Create new drawings or drawing revisions.

·          Analyze raw test data and prepare it for presentation and report.

·          Write reports to document test results, investigation findings, analysis results.

·          Assist Engineers and Technicians in determining root cause and corrective action for issues in development and qualification testing.

·          Perform miscellaneous duties at the request of Managers and Engineers.

Qualifications:

·          Completion of two years of a BS in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering program at an accredited university.  3.0 GPA minimum.

·          Experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment is a plus but is not required.

·          Self-motivated with a desire to learn and achieve results, good verbal and written communication skills, ability to set goals and meet commitments, working knowledge of MS Office, knowledge of Audtodesk Inventor, Matlab, Simulink desireable but not required.
